Founder of Jumping Jelly Beans, Manager of North Bucks Branch
Sarah Stead originally trained as a ballet, tap and modern teacher and has over 20 years experience delivering dance training to children and young people in schools, nurseries and private dance schools. During her years of teaching Sarah developed an interest in working with Pre-School age children and completed additional training and research into the young child and how dance can benefit them and create a foundation for future learning and well-being.
Sarah is a qualified teaching member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), whose qualifications are recognised on the qualifications framework. She is currently studying a Level 3 qualification in Child Psychology.
Following the birth of her son, Joshua in 2017, Sarah stepped down from her position as principal of a large dance school in Oxford to spend more time with her son and develop her passion for working with pre-school aged children. Sarah founded Jumping Jelly Beans in 2018 at her local village hall and just loves to find new ways to inspire the little ones she works with. It wasn't long before an old colleague of hers decided to join the movement and open her own Jumping Jelly Beans classes in Oxfordshire.
Sarah is excited to see where the future takes the Jumping Jelly Beans brand and hopes that our special curriculum will touch the lives of many children and their families across the UK and beyond. When Sarah isn't working she can be found enjoying afternoon tea, walking in the countryside and, of course, dancing!
